Conversion
Conversion is the proportion of people viewing an advertisement and going on to do something (take an action) such as to buy the product, click on a link, etc.
The desired action varies from site to site depending on the desired results of the “marketer.” They can include registering for an event, subscribing to a newsletter or email list, signing up for something such as an event, membership, or downloading something such as a resource or software.
Conversion rate refers to the number or percentage of people who take the desired action.
